STALKER 2 is a beautiful game, there’s no doubt about it. It’s hard to imagine a post-apocalyptic wasteland looking good, but here we are – and it does. One of the first questions on the minds of fans worldwide is whether STALKER 2 has a photomode, as it’s not something that has been explicitly confirmed by GSC Game World.
Does STALKER 2 have a photomode? And if it doesn’t, what can you do as an alternative?
Read on to find out.
Is There a Photomode in STALKER 2?
STALKER 2 doesn’t have a photomode yet, but it could be added further down the line. This Unreal Engine-powered game looks phenomenal on the surface, and it has so much potential for a photomode, but it hasn’t been added by GSC Game World for the game’s launch.
But that doesn’t mean that you’re out of luck when it comes to taking pictures like this in STALKER 2:
It’s easy to take first-person perspective shots in STALKER 2 and have them look amazing. That’s mostly because the game looks fantastic, but there’s one option you can quickly tweak to secure brilliant shots without a photomode in STALKER 2.
Head into the settings menu and select the UI tab, then scroll to the bottom and drag ‘HUD opacity settings’ to 0%. By doing this, you’ll remove the HUD entirely, presenting yourself with a clean, untarnished image of the game.
Bear in mind that this won’t remove subtitles or character tags, so if you’re looking at someone or talking to them, you’ll have text on the screen.
As STALKER 2 doesn’t have a photomode, this is the best you can do to take great screenshots without worrying about on-screen clutter.
Don’t worry – it’s the number one thing suggested by the community, so it shouldn’t be too long until a photomode is added.
