We some a lot of truly whacky video game announcements at Summer Game Fest, including Killer Bean, Squirrel With a Gun, and Cuffbust. The latter is from the same solo developer as Choo-Choo Charles—a first-person horror game about a spider-like demonic train engine. But his latest game looks even better. Here is what we know about the Cuffbust release date!
When is Cuffbust Coming Out?
While we received countless release dates during Summer Game Fest, sadly, Cuffbust wasn’t one of them. As of right now, we don’t know the Cuffbust release date. We know it’s coming in 2025 for PC, specifically on Steam, but the one-person development studio hopes it’ll launch without issue.
There’s a lot that can go wrong in game development, and even more as a single-person studio, but if this turns out anything like his last game, then it should be a relatively smooth, viral experience!

What is Cuffbust?
Cuffbust is a 20-player multiplayer escape game in which you’ll evade guards, plan a prison breakout, and utilize various tools and equipment to make your big break. It’s a bit zany, with plenty of explosives, soap traps, toilet bombs, and spoons in an extremely colorful universe.
You must work together with your team to track guards’ movements, hijack the intercom, destroy generators, disable phone lines, and, in an almost immersive sim-like fashion, find unique ways to escape from jail.
We can see this one becoming big on YouTube and Twitch next year, so now might be a good time to start your channel in preparation!
