Digimon Story: Time Stranger Best Agent Skills, Listed

There’s plenty to consider in Digimon Story: Time Stranger, and while it’s your Digital Monsters who will attract the most attention, having the best Agent Skills equipped is vital for success.

Digimon Story: Time Stranger has made a quick impression since its release, and there’s plenty more content planned with a full DLC roadmap, and finding the right balance with the best Personalities for your Digimon is one of the major things you’ll need to consider.

Agent Skills in Digimon Story: Time Stranger add another level to the mix, but we’re here to help with a list of those that are must-haves in any playthrough.

Lesson in Rearing

Lessons in Rearing, found in the Bonds of Loyalty skill tree, is definitely the first point of call, as it provides a boost of EXP for all Digimon in your party and box by 1% for each agent rank. Though this won’t feel like much initially, given that you start at a low level, it will increase over time.

This is particularly useful whenever you add any new Digimon to your collection, boosting their EXP gain significantly to make them more viable for your team.

Cross Art: Strike

Cross Art: Strike is the best initial choice for your Cross Art skill, as it provides a huge burst of damage to any enemies. While you can use this to wipe out specific enemies, it’s particularly beneficial in the boss fights you’ll encounter early in the game.

Later down the line, your Digimon will be powerful enough to hold their own in these battles but, initially at least, you’re going to need to make use of any Healing skills you have. Cross Art: Strike counteracts that, ensuring you don’t fall behind in issuing damage in any battle.

Strategic CP Application

Cross Arts are extremely beneficial to have as often as you can, which is where the Strategic CP Application comes in. This ensures you start every battle with 10 CP per Agent Rank, allowing you to trigger them as early as possible.

At higher Agent Ranks, this will provide a huge buff to your initial CP in fights, allowing you to trigger your Cross Arts skill relatively early, which, depending on the Cross Art you have equipped, can provide valuable buffs to your team, or dish out major damage to enemies.

Digivolution

After the Bonds of Loyalty Skill Tree, there are separate skill trees for Valor, Philanthropy, Amicability, and Wisdom, providing buffs to any Digimon in your party who match that Personality type. There’s plenty to opt for here, though the first point of call should always be the Digivolution skills.

These skills can reduce the stat requirements for Digivolutions by as much as 80%, if you pump the points into every level. Remember, there are five types of these spread out into different trees, so don’t neglect to pick them all up.
