Did The Day Before Copy Other Games For Its Trailer?

Another day, another controversy for The Day Before developer Fntastic. A new YouTube video from user Randomly compares the recently released The Day Before “final trailer” with those of other games like Grand Theft Auto 5, Cyberpunk 2077, and Red Dead Redemption 2 where it looks like the studio copied trailers for other games.

Throughout the video, which you can watch below, you can hear the similarities in not only the voices but the phrasing as well.

At one point, The Day Before trailer states, “Welcome to the next generation of post-apocalyptic MMO open-world survival games like never before. Immerse yourself in The Day Before.”

Randomly immediately cut to a Cyberpunk 2077 trailer that stated something pretty similar: “Welcome to the next generation of open-world adventure. Immerse yourself in Cyberpunk 2077.”

Another point in the video has both The Day Before trailer and the Grand Theft Auto V trailer each saying they are each trying to “reimagine” the open-world game.

Insider Gaming has reached out to Fntastic for comment on the accusations of copying other trailers in The Day Before. Should a response be received, this story will be updated accordingly.

The Day Before is expected to release in Early Access on Steam on December 7.

What do you think of the accusations that The Day Before copied trailers from other games? Do you think it’s clear or is it just a coincidence?
