Devil May Cry Has Been Greenlit For Season 2 on Netflix

The Devil May Cry series on Netflix is officially returning for Season 2.

Devil May Cry is a new Netflix animated series by Adi Shankar that was released a week ago and has already climbed up to the top 10 most-viewed series for the week on the platform. Devil May Cry Season 1 is globally ranked at the fourth spot this week, sitting behind the likes of Adolescence, Gone Girls: The Long Island Serial Killer and Pulse. Devil May Cry has garnered over 5 million views and 21 million hours viewed in the first week, and fans will be excited when it officially returns for a second season.

Devil May Cry was created by Adi Shankar, who is well-versed in animated game adaptations through his work on projects like Castlevania, Captain Laserhawk: A Blood Dragon Remix, and more. The story follows the iconic protagonist of the game series, Dante, as he traverses a world that demon forces have overrun. He is an orphaned demon hunter who has made it his life’s mission to avenge his mother’s death by killing all demons.

In other news, WWE 2K is making its way to Netflix Games later in 2025. Also, the director of A Minecraft Movie has stated that a sequel is already being discussed. What are your thoughts on Devil May Cry being renewed for Season 2? Let us know in the comments or on our community forum!
