If you find yourself craving a little Destiny 2 in the middle of the work week, well, you’re not alone. Unfortunately, it appears Destiny 2 is down for maintenance. Developer Bungie revealed its maintenance schedule for the day, and the servers will remain down for a few hours total.
How Long is Destiny 2 Down?
Currently, Destiny 2 is down for maintenance as part of update 8.0.0.5. In total, it will take approximately four hours to complete the maintenance, and the official timeline is:
- 6:00 AM PDT — Destiny 2 maintenance begins; sign-on and game integration features unavailable.
- 6:45 AM PDT — Destiny 2 was completely brought offline for maintenance, and players were removed from online activities.
- 10:00 AM PDT — Destiny 2 update is available on all platforms and regions. Players may log back into Destiny 2, and queue times may increase as a result.
- 12:00 PM PDT — Destiny 2 maintenance concludes, and console players should reset their systems to download the update.
All in all, it’s a relatively short period of downtime in Destiny 2. If you were itching to play, however, then you’ll likely find that no other game satisfies in the meantime. I’m right there with you, as I was about to boot up the game when I received the notice!
