A new 15-minute gameplay trailer for Dead Island 2 has been uploaded to the official Xbox YouTube channel, and it perfectly showcases both the impressive visuals and the unhinged violence on offer in the game, which is set to drop on April 21st.
The full video is below if you want to check it out – it’s easily recognisable as a Dead Island title (which we mostly knew already), and at first glance, it looks phenomenal.
Dead Island 2 is Dropping Early, You Know?
It was announced a couple of weeks ago that Dead Island 2 would be bucking the postponement trend by releasing a week earlier than originally intended. This is fantastic news for zombie-slaying aficionados, as since the grand reveal that took place in December’s Dead Island 2 event, fans have been eagerly awaiting the arrival of a game that has been in development for almost a decade.
Here’s the 15-minute gameplay breakdown that showcases the FLESH dismemberment system, which adds another layer of unbridled violence to Dead Island 2:
From massively customisable melee weapons to efficient, effective ballistic weaponry, Dead Island 2 is all about combat. It looks as though the platform will offer up a perfect balance between comedic, arcade-style combat and mind-blowingly violent, visceral effects.
In December, the Dead Island 2 Collector’s Edition was revealed, which only served to further excite those fans that have literally grown up waiting for this game to drop.
Are you looking forward to slaying your way through Hell-A when Dead Island 2 drops on April 21st?
