Cyberpunk 2077 Is Now Steam Deck Verified

You can now play Cyberpunk 2077 on the go as CD Projekt Red has announced that the game is Steam Deck verified.

“Can’t get enough of Night City? Wish you could take it with you, wherever you go? Well now you can, because Cyberpunk 2077 has been Verified for Steam Deck Compatibility,” the game’s official Twitter account posted.

So, what do you have to do? Absolutely nothing. If you already own the game, simply download it to your Steam Deck and you are ready to play.

To become Steam Deck verified, a game must pass a number of tests by Valve. Those tests include the following:

  • All functionality is accessible when using the default controller configuration
  • The game shows Steam Deck controller icons
  • In-game interface text is legible on Steam Deck
  • The game’s default graphics configuration performs well on Steam Deck

Outside of Steam Deck verification, CD Projekt Red has been working on the upcoming Phantom Liberty expansion pack for the game. The game will feature Idris Elba and Sasha Grey as well as see the return of the Keanu Reeves-voiced Johnny Silverhand. No release date has been announced for Phantom Liberty, though it is expected sometime later in 2023.

The DLC pack is claimed to be the studio’s largest DLC venture ever.

Will you be trying out Cyberpunk 2077 on your Steam Deck?
