What is CRETE?
CRETE is an intense action-roguelike title that catapults players into a brutal world populated with hulking, terrifying enemies. It’s a battle between good and evil; between god-like entities called the Ancestors and a race of bioengineered warriors that evolve massively over time.
As you explore CRETE, you’ll constantly adapt and mutate, collecting critical DNA samples to alter your body and create fresh ways to fight. In the words of Mayhem Mirror Studios, there are millions of combinations to discover.
Players can either go it alone or fight together, but the team has stressed that CRETE blossoms best when enjoyed cooperatively. It’s an inherently tricky game, but it’s not impossible, and players will find the combat mechanics to be fast-paced, fresh, and energetic.

Multi-Faceted Combat Mechanics
CRETE encourages a range of playstyles and approaches, such is the roguelike nature of the game. With that in mind, you can go hand-to-hand, use intense melee weapons, or pick your enemies off from a distance, utilizing the mutation mechanic to keep things mixed as you explore the game.

The Studio Behind CRETE
CRETE is being developed by Mayhem Mirror Studios, a two-person team consisting of a game director and developer, and an art director and 3D modeller. Until now, Mayhem Mirror has focused on creating animated media, such as short films, but CRETE will be the team’s first foray into video games.
