Blind Descent is an upcoming open-world game announced at the 2026 Insider Gaming Showcase, introducing a new biome to the survival-crafting genre.
Players take on the role of an outsider in a hazardous world, delving deeper into the Martian underground to uncover the mysterious fate of the missing pioneer team. An AI assistant provides support throughout the journey.
Players will use mutant-enhanced abilities they acquire and craft items to connect with the alien environment as they strive to survive. As of yet, there’s no official release date, but Insider Gaming will continue to monitor the story and report any updates as more information becomes available.

Mutation-Enhanced Abilities
You will adapt to your surroundings as you dive deeper into the Martian depths. With the help of your AI assistant, you’ll be able to explore the environment around you. As an explorer, it’s your call how to adapt and survive. Crafting can help you preserve your humanity. However, you can choose mutation over science and become part of the ecosystem through mutations that will enhance your abilities.
Versatile crafting
Observe and analyze nearby lifeforms to collect resources and craft tools. Watching how alien creatures engage with their surroundings can provide valuable insights. Each crafted item deepens your connection to the rich, biodiverse alien environment, turning survival into a journey of integration.
Online Co-Op Gameplay
Collaborate with up to three pioneers to gather resources, build shelters, and explore the underground world. Symbiosis extends to teamwork. Your survival depends on your crew’s collective adaptation and shared insights.
