Jet Set Radio and Crazy Taxi are Both Unreal Engine 5 Remakes, it’s Claimed

A reputable leaker has claimed that both Jet Set Radio and Crazy Taxi are both Unreal Engine 5 remakes.

The news comes courtesy of @MbKKssTBhz5, who has accurately reported on Sega-related games in the past. Taking to Twitter, the user responded to some questions in regards to Sega’s upcoming games, which included stating that Jet Set Radio and Crazy Taxi will both be Unreal Engine 5 remakes.

It was also said that the new Streets of Rage game is in development by a Canadian game studio and will have a mobile title to release in the future too.

Jet Set Radio and Crazy Taxi were both announced at The Game Awards 2023 alongside three other games; Shinobi, Golden Axe, and Streets of Rage as a part of the company’s ‘New Era, New Energy’ branding.

So far, Sega has yet to announce an official release date for any of these games, but the same leaker has implied that Streets of Rage will be released later this year.

Earlier this year, Insider Gaming exclusively reported that three other Sega classics are also in development; Panzer Dragoon, Neon Genesis Evangelion, and Sakura Taisen. Sega is yet to officially announce any of these three projects.

Which Sega classic are you most looking forward to playing again? Let us know in the comments below!

    • Exactly! While they’re at it finally make Adventure 3 and make another Shadow game and a Silver game get Platinum to make it and bring that Sonic creative team back the one from the late 90’s and early 2000’s that writer was so much better than what we have now. I hate Ian Flynn, I hate the guys before him, and I hate the Sonic cartoons under Flynn’s supervision. Give us Sonic anime again.

    • Hopefully it’s good I would love to see what it would look like since Unreal 5 looks incredible. Hopefully Sega can get Dead Or Alive characters involved since Virtua Fighter characters were in Dead Or Alive 5 it would great also having Kiryu and Majima would be amazing. Kiryu I felt they should just make him a Virtua Fighter character now.

    • They really should also I think the RGG guys would do great with helping finish the Shenmue story with Yu Suzuki they’re better at executing mini games. Also we need a Like A Dragon anime and another season of the Shenmue anime. Sega needs to release the Shenmue anime on Blu-Ray already it was really good.

Starfield’s Final Quest Was Almost ‘Missing’ From the Game
