While the Call of Duty League Championship 2025 was a phenomenal event, the setting left a lot to be desired. I was quite happy flying out to Kitchener to attend the tournament, but it admittedly lacked the spectacle you’d like to see with COD Champs, the most prolific and valuable event in the Call of Duty esports space.
That’s why I’m pleased to learn about the intended setting for COD Champs 2026. I’ve received information from sources close to the Call of Duty League that COD Champs 2026 should take place in Las Vegas, Nevada, and should be hosted by the rebranded Atlanta FaZe, going into the 2026 season as Vegas FaZe (or FaZe Vegas, I haven’t confirmed that bit).
COD Champs Back to Sin City
The Call of Duty League Championship last took place in Las Vegas in June 2023, when the New York Subliners devastated Toronto Ultra in the grand final with a 5-0 sweep. Before that, the tournament was still most commonly taking place in Los Angeles, with a few other cities thrown in for good measure.
Fans were hoping for a COD Champs to take place in the United Kingdom next season, but I’ve got it on good form that it’s headed back to Las Vegas instead.
Recently, eagle-eyed Call of Duty League fans spotted trademark applications for new FaZe branding that suggested the team is relocating to Las Vegas, filling the spot recently vacated by the Vegas Falcons (now Riyadh Falcons).
I’ve also learned that the Vegas FaZe rebrand is going ahead and will be revealed soon.
The Call of Duty League Championship Weekend should take place in Las Vegas, midway through July 2026. The dates are yet to be solidified, but it’ll most likely be the third weekend of the long month. I haven’t been able to confirm a venue, but perhaps it’ll head back to the Thomas & Mack Center.
I recently learned that the Call of Duty League is also headed to the United Kingdom next season, and that the last major tournament before COD Champs will be held in Paris.
I’d like to stress that reports like this are always subject to change, and until people are in the venue, dates, locations, and operating models always remain dynamic. Take that into consideration as you soak up this information! As Call of Duty Champs is the farthest event away in the calendar, I mean that even more acutely.
Let me know on the Insider Gaming forum if you’re heading to Las Vegas for COD Champs.
