CD Projekt Red is Developing a Cyberpunk Sequel and a Witcher Trilogy

CD Project Red has announced that it’s developing a range of new games to release over the next several years, including The Witcher trilogy.

  • A Cyberpunk 2077 Sequel (codename Project Orion)
  • A new IP codenamed Project Hadar
  • A new Witcher trilogy (three games) with the first game being called Project Polaris

Project Polaris will be the beginning of the new trilogy for The Witcher universe, with the studio expecting to release the full trilogy in three years.

Project Canis Majoris will be a full-fledged Witcher game, separate from the new Witcher saga starting with Polaris. It will be developed by an external studio headed by experienced developers who have worked on past Witcher games.

Project Sirius will be the game developed by Molasses Flood, set in The Witcher universe, and created with support from CDPR. It will differ from our past productions, offering multiplayer gameplay on top of a single-player experience including a campaign with quests and a story.
