Black Ops 6 and Warzone Season 3 Reloaded’s release date and expected start time is fast approaching. From Battle Royale Ranked Play to a new SMG and multiplayer maps, a full slate of fresh content is coming.
Season 3 exceeded expectations. Verdansk’s return sparked a staggering 200% increase in player count. Activision reportedly took notice and is pleased with the positive results from the update. Black Ops 6 fans are also satisfied with the update, as Zombies fans praised Shattered Veil as one of the best maps yet.
Activision has shown no signs of slowing down, as Season 3 Reloaded is shaping up to be an exciting update.
Black Ops 6 & Warzone Season 3 Reloaded Release Date
Black Ops 6 and Warzone Season 3 Reloaded is expected to start on Thursday, April 24 — based on the Season Pass end date and usual seasonal timing.
Mid-season updates usually occur at the halfway mark of a season, which equates to around three weeks. Since Season 3 started on April 2, this timeline would make sense.
Black Ops 6 & Warzone Season 3 Reloaded Possible Start Time
We expect Black Ops 6 and Warzone Season 3 Reloaded to start around 9 AM PT / 11 PM CT / 12 PM ET / 5 PM GMT.
This is based on the start time for previous seasons, but it is always subject to change based on server maintenance or any other unexpected circumstances.
BO6 & Warzone New Weapon & Attachment

Before getting into the specifics of Warzone and Black Ops 6 additions, the Ladra is a new SMG available in multiplayer and battle royale matches.
Activision revealed, “What this SMG lacks in power it more than makes up for with a blistering fire rate that’s effective even in mid-range fights due to the weapon’s low recoil.”
The SMG will be a reward in an event. We will provide more details once we know how to unlock it. The hidden event will also feature a new attachment as a reward.
The Goblin Mk2 7.62 Mini-Rocket Conversion transforms semi-automatic AR into a fully automatic weapon with explosive rocket ammunition.
All New content in Warzone Season 3 Reloaded
Warzone’s Season 3 Roadmap previewed a few massive changes in the mid-season update, including Verdansk Ranked Play, returning contracts and Field Upgrades, and POI changes.
Buy Station Changes
Season 3 Reloaded adds the Specialist Perk to Buy Stations. The Specialist Perk is the ultimate ability in Warzone, giving you every Perk in the game. Given how powerful the ability is, we expect it to cost a significant amount.
Returning Contracts, Field Upgrades & Killstreaks
Big Game Bounty and Recon return as Contracts in the mid-season update, along with the Portable Decontamination Field Upgrade and Bunker Buster Killstreak.
- Big Game Bounty: Activision confirmed, “Band together to place a Big Game Bounty on the player with the most eliminations in the match, then hunt them down and defeat them to earn a 20 second instantly activated Advanced UAV and a tidy sum of cash.”
- Recon (Train): “With the arrival of the Train moving around the rail lines of Verdansk at Mid-Season, the returning Recon Contract also becomes available on the train’s cargo carriages. Activating this is riskier than a normal recon as data uploads happen on the train itself,” Activision said.
- Portable Decontamination Station: The PDS is a field upgrade that closely resembles the Trophy System. When deployed, it creates a zone of approximately six meters that will protect players from most gas, lasting for a maximum of 15 seconds, with that uptime being reduced by 50 percent in the final two circles
- Bunker Buster: Drops a missile capable of sending an explosive blast through multiple floors and leaves a column of gas behind.
Battle Royale Ranked Play

Battle Royale Ranked Play finally returns in Season 3 Reloaded. In October 2024, Raven Software moved the competitive game mode over to Resurgence, and it hasn’t returned to the standard battle royale format since.
That all changes in the upcoming update, as players can team up with two other teammates and climb the leaderboards in 150-player lobbies on Verdansk.
New Map Interactive Elements
In the mid-season update, exterior ascenders are being added to Verdansk standard battle royale matches.
Exterior ascenders are rappel devices outside a building that allow players to ascend from the floor to the roof in seconds or vice versa. The tool helps catch rooftop campers off guard or is useful for escaping a gunfight and repositioning.
POI Changes
Interior access to the train station and the original moving train are returning in the upcoming update.
Here are the changes.
- Original Train Station Interior Access: Activison confirmed, “First unlocked during Modern Warfare 2019 Season 5 (August 2020), the interior of the covered footbridge, and a mezzanine shopping mall within the Train Station POI, is scheduled to open.”
- Original Moving Train: Activision said, “A fearsome-looking train with numerous, loot-filled carriages, is reported to be heading towards the map at Mid-Season. Moving along a pre-determined path in a large circle around much of the rail lines, it can’t be controlled by Operatives… yet!”
New Modes
High Trip returns as a limited-time mode in Season 3 Reloaded. The LTM first appeared in April 2024 for Resurgence.
High Trip features gummies that each have a power-up. Green Boost Grants players a temporary speed boost and negates fall damage, Fill Up awards faster reload speeds, High Focus highlights enemies with a red outline, and Loot Blast offers more loot from crates.
All New Content in Black Ops 6 Season 3 Reloaded

In the Black Ops 6 Season 2 Roadmap, Treyarch revealed Haven and Signal as new maps and a new limited-time game mode and Perk.
New Maps
Haven and Signal are new original maps, and Blazetown is a 4/20 variant of Nuketown.
- Haven: This map is set in a KGB safehouse in 1991. The dilapidated compound is a medium-sized map and supports 6v6 matches.
- Signal: Signal rewinds the clock to 1968 and is set in an underground submarine military station. This map is small and supports 6v6 and 2v2 action.
Multiplayer Modes
Joint Operations is a new limited-time mode in Season 3 Reloaded.
“Leave the enemy up in smoke in this Limited Time Mode that tests teams with a gauntlet of five Core mode variants in a single match: Head Stash (TDM), Inhalation (Domination), Hotbox (Hardpoint), Very High Target (HVT), and Munchies (Kill Confirmed),” Activision explained. “Cycle through all five modes under a variety of changing effects, including double health, low gravity, visual hallucinations, and third-person POV.”
New Perks
Vendetta is a new Recon combat specialty Perk in Season 3 Reloaded found in the second Perk slot.
The ability briefly marks your killer’s last known position and awards a bonus score for eliminating that enemy. If you want a counter, Vigilance prevents you from being marked.
