Based on the real-world MP7, the VEL 46 is one of the best SMGs in Modern Warfare 4. It’s a tried-and-tested weapon that’s been in the Call of Duty scene for a long time, and it’s easily one of the fastest and most capable weapons you’ll see. It’s easy to see how it has become a fan favorite weapon over the years.
In this guide, I’m scrutinizing the VEL 46 to bring you the best loadout possible, but as with anything, it might seem subjective. This is a versatile SMG that you can build for long-range fights, rapid deployment, or maximum mobility, but I’ve got a VEL 46 loadout that tries to accommodate all of those aspects.
VEL 46 – Best Attachments and Build
The VEL 46 can be a tiny, close-range monster that absolutely shreds, and you can turn it into one of the smallest, fastest weapons in Modern Warfare 4 with a blistering TTK. But I’ve built something that’s more capable at range to account for some of Modern Warfare 4’s longer sightlines.
Here are the top attachments for your VEL 46 in Modern Warfare 4:
- VB-46 SERIES 11 Barrel
- TA LIGHTNING R3M Flash Hider
- FSS FIRELINE Grip
- 60 Round Drum Magazine
- 4.6×30 mm High-Velocity Ammunition
I don’t use an optic on the VEL 46 because I see it as a waste of an attachment slot. It has some of the best iron sights in Call of Duty, and most of your kills will come from almost point-blank range most of the time.
But what this VEL 46 loadout does well is that it offers massively balanced accuracy and handling at close- to -mid range, sacrificing nothing in the damage stats, but you admittedly lose a little maneuverability.
If you want something faster, you can alter the build, but this is a brilliant base to start with.
In terms of perks, the VEL 46 can be paired with the perks that everyone seems to be running now… Ninja (Perk 1) or Quick Fix (Perk 1), Bomb Squad (Perk 2) or Fast Hands (Perk 2), and Battle Hardened (Perk 3) or Blood Rush (Perk 3).
