We’re here to cut out the confusion and clutter of Modern Warfare 4’s overwhelming armory and inventory by showing you every aspect of the best Modern Warfare 4 meta loadout, from the gun to Perks and Equipment.
Putting together a modern Call of Duty loadout can be exhausting. Is it just me who remembers the good old days when all you had to decide was whether you wanted a Red Dot Sight or an ACOG Scope? In Modern Warfare 4, the best meta loadout requires a lot of steps and tinkering, and we’ve got a breakdown of the full thing.
Best HAN 86 Primary Weapon Meta Loadout Attachments in MW4

The HAN 86 is the best weapon in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 multiplayer, due to its insane TTK and how early on it’s unlocked in online multiplayer.
Here’s our Meta HAN 86 loadout:
- Optic: Slimline Elite (Mini Reflex)
- Barrel: SA H86 465MM (Long Barrel)
- Underbarrel: FSS IS300 (Heavy Silencer)
- Grip: FSS Fireline Grip (Angled Grip)
- Magazine: 60 Round Drum (Magazine)
I’ve seen discussions that the AXION actually offers a bit more forgiveness if you’re not accurate with upper-torso shots and higher. While the AXION might technically be a smidge more appealing, when we’re talking about meta, especially right now, we want a loadout that’s accessible and can dominate early on.

As long as you’re fairly accurate, the HAN 86 hits as hard as anything. Assault rifles are generally the best meta weapons, and this loadout, for me, is like a laser. It’s already a consistent weapon ot beign with, but the SA H86 465MM and FSS IS300 do wonders for the gun’s accuracy and firing stability.
Depending on how you are with iron sights, you might forego the Slimline Elite optic in favour of another attachment, but this is a super-clean aiming aid. The 60 Round Drum is perfect for sustained firing and taking out two or even three enemies in one burst.
Best Secondary Weapon Meta Loadout in MW4
The Krait P68 Pistol is your best bet for a secondary weapon in a Meat MW4 loadout.
Our loadout doesn’t feature Overkill, so if you like having an SMG or Shotgun as your secondary, you need to make some tough choices. Going with this loadout, we need a pistol, and the Krait P68 is the best choice, but admittedly, this is easily one of the most interchangeable aspects of the whole loadout—feel free to see if you prefer another secondary!
Best Meta Perks in MW4
You need to run Ghost, Ninja, and Tracker to optimize the best HAN 86 Meta loadout in MW4.
Two of these Perks are fairly self-explanatory and will become standard across most loadouts, to be honest. Here’s what each one does.
| Perk | Description |
|---|---|
| Perk 1: Ghost | Undetectable by Enemy Callouts, UAVs, Portable Radars, and Heartbeat Sensors. |
| Perk 2: Ninja | Your footsteps are quieter, with significantly reduced range. |
| Perk 3: Tracker | Enemies leave behind a footprint trail and their Death markers become visible. Kill markers are hidden. |
Ghost is a must to keep you off of UAVs and other tech designed to seek you out. It’s the best Perk 1 choice, although I’m personally partial to a High Alert here and there, as it can save you in most situations.
Another CoD staple is Ninja, which quiets your footsteps and stops enemies from knowing you’re sneaking up on them. With state-of-the-art headsets in 2026, you can hear so much now in games, but Ninja ensures you have a chance of being silent.

The Perk 3 slot is a lot more open, and people will go back and forth on this, but I’m always very partial to data. If something tells me where the enemy is, especially if they’re nearby, you can’t turn that down. This is why Tracker is amazing, and enemy footsteps become very noticeable.
Best Equipment & Field Upgrade in MW4 Meta Loadout
You can’t go wrong with a Semtex Grenade for your Lethal Equipment, a Stim for the Tactical, and the portable Radar is the best of a bad bunch.
Again, here’s a quick look at each answer I’ve given, and what it provides for you.
| Equipment Name | Description |
|---|---|
| Lethal Equipment: Semtex | Timed sticky grenade. |
| Tactical Equipment: Stim | Military stimulant that immediately starts health regeneration and refreshes Tactical Sprint. Mitigates flash and stun effects. |
| Field Upgrade: Portable Radar | Emits a periodic radar ping to detect nearby enemies. |
You might see the occasional Thermite or Proximity Mine in MW4, but if anything is thrown your way, you can better believe it’ll be a Frag Grenade or a Semtex. For me, Semtex always wins, as you can be more precise with the explosion.
The Stim is the most essential equipment in MW4. Its immediate health regen can either win you an ongoing firefight or get you straight into the next without being at a disadavantage.
Hopefully, this best Meta loadout helps you in MW4. Is there anything else you’re finding works better? Let us know your thoughts on the Insider Gaming Discord server.
