Best Live-Service Games 2025
Fortnite
Fortnite has somehow managed to become even bigger in 2025. Epic’s battle royale game has more content than ever and so many ways to play it. The Simpsons crossover has been a storming success, and Holiday 2025 will bring many new Xmas skins and special in-game events to mark the end of the new season, before beginning the next.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 7
You can throw Black Ops 7 and Warzone into one category here. Now, we’re not sure how deep Black Ops 7 is going to go with fun Holiday skins, given the backlash in recent years. It would be a shock if Treyarch didn’t have some Christmas-related gear in one way or another, and there will certainly be Holiday events and playlist options.
Battlefield 6
We don’t quite know what to expect from Battlefield 6 in 2025. The returning EA shooter is more serious about its game compared to other FPS titles out there. It’s unlikely we’ll see soldiers running around with Santa hats on, but thanks to the Season 1 roadmap, we know ‘Ice Lock Empire State’ arrives as a fun map, and there will be a new Ice Climbing Axe to let you know it’s Christmas time.
Marvel Rivals
Jeff’s Winter Splash Festival helped spread the festive cheer in Marvel Rivals last year, and you already know NetEase is cooking up some nice surprises and positive Holiday 2025 spirit! Get ready for some heroic outfits and much more to drop down your chimney.
Overwatch 2
Blizzard never feels the cold when it comes to Holiday content. The developer lights up and decorates Overwatch 2, and 2024 saw ‘Winter Wonderland’ give players a welcome, icy chill with wintery map variations and many skins to unlock and buy throughout the duration.
Apex Legends
Apex Legends requires you to buy Apex Coins if you want to buy some of its Holiday 2025 gear. Apex never disappoints when it comes to special Holiday skin and content scheduled around the Christmas period. Its popularity has fallen in the last couple of years, but do not mistake this for a demise—Apex still has several hundred thousand players each month.
