The Executor is a Dexterity-based character who’s great at using Katanas. Here’s the best build to assemble before and during an Expedition in Elden Ring Nightreign.
In Elden Ring Nightreign, the Executor character is loosely based on the samurai class from the original Elden Ring. This means that they’re proficient with most weapons that scale with Dexterity. However, the Executor class has another key strength: Its high Arcane.
This makes them very powerful when equipped with weapons that inflict Hemorrhage, Frostbite, Poison, and Scarlet Rot, status ailments that can prove deadly to even the toughest bosses. Here’s the best Executor build you can assemble in Elden Ring Nightreign.
What’s The Best Executor Build in Elden Ring Nightreign?

At this moment in time, the best Executor build in Elden Ring Nightreign is the bleed build.
This is a build that relies on the buildup of Hemorrhage to do massive damage to opponents, either killing them or repeating the strategy until it does.
With that in mind, the goal of this build will be on equipping the Executor with weapons and buffs that increase its bleed damage output, getting it as close as possible to the legendary build of the same name from the original Elden Ring.
Of course, in Nightreign, all items need to be obtained once the Expedition starts, and are random drops. Therefore, this guide will focus on which weapons (and passives) to look for, as well as what Relics to equip before the match begins.
Of course, this all may change in future updates.
Best Relics to Equip Before an Expedition
In many ways, Relics are the only real way to permanently progress in Elden Ring Nightreign, as all levels and items will be reset once an Expedition ends. However, Relics stick around and can be equipped and switched out as and when you need them or find better ones. For example, you could swap some of the more basic and random Dexterity and Arcane boosting relics for class specific ones like Blessed Flowers or Golden Sprout.
Keep in mind, you can only use three Relics at one time, but the good news is you’ll find more effective ones as you complete more Expeditions. So, for the bleed build, aim to obtain the following Relics.
| Relic | Passives |
|---|---|
| Blessed Flowers | While Character Skill is active, unlocking use of cursed sword restores HP. Dexterity +3. |
| Golden Sprout | Roaring restores HP while Art is active. HP Recovery From SuccessfulGuarding. Slowly restore HP for self and nearby allies when HP is low. |
| Night of The Baron | Improved Critical Hits +1. Art gauge fills moderately upon critical hit. Critical Hit Boosts Stamina Recovery Speed. |
| Night of the Beast | Stamina recovers with each successful attack +1. Starting armament deals fire damage. |
| Random Drop Relic | Any boost to Dexterity stat. |
| Random Drop Relic | Any boost to Arcane stat. |
| Random Drop Relic | Any boost to Haemorrhage damage. |
Don’t worry if it takes a while to find some of these, most are mid to endgame Relics and simply represent the very best ones for this build. In the meantime, just equip the best ones you find until these drop.
Best Weapons to Find For The Bleed Executor Build

The weapons you find are completely random in Elden Ring Nightreign, but for the best bleed build, these are the ones you’ll want to keep an eye out for, and yes, the classic bleed weapons like Rivers of Blood and the classic Uchigatana made the cut.
Remember, the class starts with Executor’s Blade katana that already does 30 bleed damage, so it’s a great weapon, especially if you have Relics active that buff your starting armament. However, everything below can be considered an upgrade.
| Weapon | Weapon Type | Passive |
|---|---|---|
| Reduvia | Dagger | Bleed damage (56) |
| Wakizashi | Short Katana | Bleed damage (34) |
| Moonviel | Katana | Bleed damage (38) |
| Rivers of Blood | Katana | Bleed damage (30) |
| Uchigatana | Katana | Bleed damage (30) |
| Nagakiba | Katana | Bleed damage (34) |
| Meteoric Ore Blade | Katana | Bleed damage (34) |
| Hand of Malenia | Katana | Bleed damage (41) |
| Elenora’s Poleblade | Two-handed Pole-arm | Bleed damage (56) |
| Thorned Whip | Whip | Bleed damage (34) |
We recommend equipping the Thorned Whip if you can find it and using it in your off-hand. Not only will dual-wielding this with a katana effectively double your bleed build-up, but it can also stun enemies, leaving them open to your attack.
Best Talismans to Find For The Bleed Executor Build
Talismans also need to be found and equipped while out on an Expedition and will vanish once it’s over, but these can provide significant buffs to your build, especially when used alongside Relics and weapons, where the passive benefits stack. For example, you can stack Lord of Blood’s Exultation’s bleed buff or Millicent’s Prosthesis’ Dexterity boost with other items with the same buff.
Try to keep an eye out for the following Talismans when using the bleed build for the Executor.
| Talisman | Passive |
|---|---|
| Lord of Blood’s Exultation | Blood loss in the vicinity increases damage by 20%. |
| Millicent’s Prosthesis | Buffs Dexterity by 5%. Boosts damage of successive attacks. |
| Winged Sword Insignia | Boosts damage of successive attacks. |
| Dragon Crest Shield | Improves defense against physical damage by 15%. |
| Green Turtle Talisman | Faster stamina recovery. |
Feel free to equip any Talismans you find and think are helpful, just make sure these are the ones you prioritize if and when you find them.
