The Cronen Squall is one of the last assault rifles you’ll get your hands on in Modern Warfare 4, and that’s probably because it’s a complete powerhouse. It’s nerfed right off the bat with a 20-round magazine that’ll get you nowhere, restricting how overpowered this thing can become, but there’s a way around that.
In the Cronen Squall loadout I’ve put together below, you’ll learn how to make this amazing weapon even better, effortlessly steaming through engagements with enemy players and dominating mid- to long-range fights with ease.
Here’s my top Cronen Squall build for MW4.
Cronen Squall – Best Attachments and Build
The Cronen Squall has been around the Call of Duty space for a minute, and while it hasn’t ever found its footing as the most popular assault rifle, there’s no doubting the potential it has as a powerful primary. It can be built to accommodate long-range, stable gunplay, which makes it perfect for AR-focused Call of Duty players.
Here are the best attachments for your Cronen Squall in Modern Warfare 4:
- HET-S6 Compensator
- FSS FIRELINE Grip
- 30-ROUND Magazine
- FSS GRIP 50 Grip
- SLIMLINE ELITE Optic
You don’t necessarily need the optic on this build; if you do want it, it’s there – but it remains very subjective. If you’d rather swap it for something else, I’d recommend a longer barrel for more distance damage ranges, or some ammunition that causes some impact, such as bleeding, to other players.

And here are the perks I can recommend most with the Cronen Squall: Ninja (Perk 1) or Quick Fix (Perk 1), Bomb Squad (Perk 2) or Fast Hands (Perk 2), and Battle Hardened (Perk 3) or Blood Rush (Perk 3).
