A new trailer has arrived for Battlefield 6, showcasing the upcoming content arriving in the game with Season 3. It’s set to release on May 12, and the highlight of the update is undeniably the return of the fan-favorite map, Golmud Railway.
Remastered as Railway To Golmud, the map has been totally reworked since it was last seen in Battlefield 4, and it’ll be the largest map currently available in Battlefield 6. The new content doesn’t stop there, though, as a handful of new weapons and attachments also join the roster—as well as Ranked Battle Royale.
Battlefield 6 Season 3 New Details
When it comes to Season 3 of Battlefield 6, most fans will be concerned with the returning map, Railway to Golmud. It isn’t just ripped straight out of Battlefield 4, as it has seen some notable reworks in substantial areas.
Perhaps most excitingly, the train, a movable capture point and central to the map’s theme, has seen some upgrades. Not only have more carts been added with improved cover and parkour opportunities, but it now heads towards the enemy headquarters, rather than whoever has captured it.
The hope is that this will bring the capture point into contention more throughout the map and keep it in play consistently. Aside from the train, though, Railway to Golmud’s other POIs have seen some major updates, with more buildings and cover added to offer more verticality and flanking opportunities.
The changes aren’t just to the map, as your weapon arsenal will see some upgrades, too. Three new attachments and four new weapons arrive with Season 3, including:
- New Sniper: L115
- New Assault Rifle: M16A4
- New LMG: RPK-74M
- New SMG: PP-19
Additionally, a new game mode, Obliteration, will also be playable, as well as Ranked REDSEC. It’s looking like a sizable amount of content is on the way with Season 3, and it all arrives on May 12, 2026. Check out the full trailer below:
