Battlefield 6 Phantom Edition Skins Have Been Silently Changed Before Launch, It’s Claimed

If you’ve pre-ordered Battlefield 6’s Phantom Edition—particularly for the Four Soldier Skins that come with the bundle—you might be interested to know that EA has possibly tweaked their design.

The Battlefield 6 Phantom Edition is the most expensive version of the game, packed with the most content. Its original skin designs weren’t received well by the community, with comments labeled at the red flourishes on the uniforms. It turns out the skins might have undergone a minor redesign before the game’s release.

Battlefield 6 Players Unhappy With Alleged Phantom Edition Skin Changes

As of writing, we’ve seen nothing official from EA to say that the Phantom Edition’s skins have been changed. However, some interesting photos suggest there could be some differences.

Battlefield Intel has shown a before-and-after comparison of the Phantom Edition skins. It seems like the brightness of the redness has been toned down—but this could be due to lighting—but the soldier with the night-vision goggles is now wearing a smaller, less noticeable piece of gear. This looks to be indisputable.

These may not seem like huge changes, but they’re enough to cause a reaction in the Battlefield community. A post on the EA Forums has also dissected the changes, and some players are even refunding the game.

Do you think EA has changed the skins? Do people who’ve already pre-ordered the Phaomnt Edition have grounds for complaint? The Insider Gaming forum is the perfect place for this debate.
