Battlefield 6 Will Run at 60 FPS on All Consoles, Even Series S

Battlefield 6 developers have confirmed that the game will run at 60 FPS on all consoles, including the Xbox Series S.

Since the multiplayer gameplay reveal for Battlefield 6, the developers have been releasing small tidbits of new information through interviews and social media posts. DICE recently revealed new details about the game’s server browser, and EA confirmed that it is tweaking matchmaking by linking console players with other console players. A new interview has now revealed the performance details of BF6.

Battlefield 6’s Performance is As Much of a Priority as the Graphics

Spotted by Tech4Gamers, during a new interview with Tech & Co., the principal game designer at DICE, Florian Le Bihan, discussed Battlefield 6’s performance, which aims to deliver 60 FPS on all consoles. Le Bihan stated that optimization has been a priority for the developers. They want it to not only be a game that is “graphically super beautiful”, but also “a game that runs on all configurations”, whether it is Xbox Series, PC or PS5.

Le Bihan adds that a lot of effort has gone into “optimizing” Battlefield 6 and the developers “guarantee 60 FPS on all experiences on consoles.” The framerate will be even higher on PC and consoles with a performance mode that enables players to run the game at even higher framerates.

In other news, Battlefield 6 will feature skill-based matchmaking, but the implementation will vary by game mode. Also, check out the confirmed maps, modes and weapons in the BF6 beta.
