Bassai-Dai is a stylized action-adventure game that blends fast-paced combat with creative, ink brush-based gameplay. Revealed during the Insider Gaming Showcase, the game is being developed by KaloPlay, and it centers around expressive mechanics that allow players to physically shape the world as they fight through it.
At its core, Bassai-Dai puts players in control of a giant ink brush, transforming drawing into a core gameplay mechanic. Platforms, environmental solutions, and even combat advantages can be created in real time, making creativity just as important as reflexes.
The game is set in a unique universe inspired by both Greek and Japanese culture and aesthetics, blending mythological influence with stylized artistic direction. Players embark on a personal journey to save their family and village while uncovering a world shaped by both beauty and conflict.

Combat in Bassai-Dai features three main elements—Ink, Fire, and Water. Each element has its own unique animations and abilities. That means you’ll have to swap between them as the situation warrants. Each element can also be upgraded to improve your skills.
