Ark 2 Still Planned For Late 2024 Release

Ark 2 is still planned for a release in late 2024, Snail Games CEO Jim Tsai says.

During a speaking appearance at the NobleCon19 conference, Tsai reconfirmed that the game will be coming next year. He described it as Snail Games’ “next masterpiece” while also talking about annual DLC plans through 2029.

The DLC was described as a way to “fuel franchise growth”.

Ark 2 was first revealed back at The Game Awards 2020 with a release date of 2022. Unfortunately, the game would then be delayed into 2023 before being delayed again into 2024.

The game is being built in Unreal Engine 5, similar to the recently released Ark: Survival Ascended. It even includes the casting of Vin Diesel, who will not only star in the game but is listed as an Executive Producer.

When it releases, Ark 2 will be a console exclusive on Xbox Series X|S with it also being available on Game Pass day one and PC via Steam and the Microsoft Store. It will feature cross-platform multiplayer as well as modding support.
