Arcane Ekko’s Voice Actor Teases Riot Has “So Many Different Plans”

Reed Anderson, Ekko’s voice actor from League of Legends Netflix series Arcane, has teased that Riot Games has more series coming.

Back in 2024, the show’s co-creator Christian Linke revealed that Riot was “aggressively developing” several Arcane spin-off ideas.

Now, in an interview with The Direct, Anderson has fueled the rumours by promising that Riot has “so many different plans” for the future of the franchise.

The actor then revealed that he was recording Ekko voice lines later that week and was told that the Ekko role will probably last his lifetime.

When Will Riot Release a Follow-Up to Arcane?

Riot has worked diligently on expanding the LoL universe, releasing the Riftbound physical TCG, fighting game 2XKO, and continuing to expand its esports tournaments.

Yet, it has been almost two years since Season 2 of Arcane released, and Riot has not posted any updates on what’s next though.

Two years ago, Linke explained that Arcane was never intended to be a long-running show. Rather, it was “the first of many stories that we want to tell in Runeterra.”

Linke then teased that Demacia, Ionia, and Noxus will get shows in future.

Though LoL co-founder Marc Merrill clarified each region won’t necessarily get a separate series, but has promised more League shows are coming after Arcane.

There have also been talks of a live-action series in the works.

Riot was reportedly set to film a live-action League of Legends series in Vietnam at the end of 2025.

An official Vietnamese government Facebook account revealed Riot was interested in filming a nine-episode series in the country’s northern location of the Cát Bà Archipelago.

But for now, nothing official has been confirmed.
