Despite the Closed Beta of ARC Raiders being under NDA, one streamer has leaked gameplay online, revealing tons of details.
Unfortunately, the original Stream VOD by Twitch streamer ‘Jacizockt‘ has been removed, but one YouTuber named ‘Player 2‘ uploaded some of the footage to YouTube. You can watch the video below:
Although we have yet to play the game ourselves, the explanation of the game seems to suggest that Embark Studios is doing everything right when it comes to an extraction shooter. But whether or not the game can deviate effectively and still stand out in the genre remains to be seen. Described officially, ARC Raiders is “an upcoming free-to-play, third-person, PvPvE extraction shooter, set in a lethal future earth, ravaged by a mysterious mechanized threat known as ARC.”
Embark Studios was co-founded in 2018 by industry veterans Patrick Söderlund and Rob Runnesson, with three games already announced to be in development; Creative Playground, The Finals, and ARC Raiders.
ARC Raiders is expected to release later this year on the PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
