ARC Raiders Dupe Glitch Explained—Can You Be Banned For Duping in ARC Raiders?

Embark Studios is cracking down harder than ever on one particular ARC Raiders issue that’s heavily disrupting the game, and that’s duping glitches. In recent months, players have taken it upon themselves to discover all kinds of duplication exploits, ruining the game’s economy and reaping the rewards of their malicious behavior.

But Embark Studios isn’t taking it lying down. In this guide, I’ll explain what the ARC Raiders dupe glitch situation is, why it’s so bad, and if you can get banned for taking part.

What is the New ARC Raiders Dupe Glitch?

At the time of writing, the most recent ARC Raiders dupe glitch was the ‘stack split’ exploit, which was patched by Embark Studios on July 9.

It was a simple thing, and that’s why it was such a big issue; everyone was able to participate in this dupe exploit, regardless of whether they were trying to run the duplication glitch on PS5, XBOX, or PC.

To do this glitch, users would prepare a stack of items in their inventory, drag half the stack onto the ground (dropping it), move the remaining stack to a different spot in their backpack, and then you’ll see that the stack on the floor would have multiplied. It’s as easy as that!

That’s why it was such an immense problem. You’d walk around ARC Raiders and see so many people taking part in the dupe glitch, and that’s why Embark Studios enforces such tough action on it.

Can You Be Banned for Duping in ARC Raiders?

You can be banned for duping in ARC Raiders, and you probably will be. Embark Studios is a data-driven company that has billions of data points on the game at any one time. If you take a step or fire a shot, they know when, where, and why you did it, and you’d best believe it’s super simple for them to see if you’ve been duping.

They shared a blog post that talked about this very fact, showing a graph that indicated how they detect duping in ARC Raiders.

People on social media have been reporting permanent bans for using duping exploits.

It’s tricky, as there’s almost always a guarantee that another exploit will surface after each one is patched, and as people lose interest in the game, they want easy ways to have fun and make money, so they lean on these tricks. As they do that, they get banned, further reducing the number of people playing ARC Raiders.

It’s a vicious circle.
