Developer Remedy Entertainment returns with another expansion for Alan Wake 2, as announced during Sony’s State of Play. However, they’re changing things up a bit by combining the supernatural worlds of the former with Control. In Alan Wake Lake House—the next major expansion for the third-person horror adventure game—players will explore a new location in the form of Cauldron Lake. There, the Federal Bureau of Control’s research station, known as the Lake House, endures a catastrophic supernatural ordeal following an experiment gone awry.
In The Lake House, we’ll step into the shoes of FBC Agent Kiran Estevez, played by Janina Gavankar, in a storyline that runs alongside the main game.
As is expected with Alan Wake 2’s setting, The Lake House expansion continues the spooky atmosphere, supernatural elements, and horror thrills that kept us coming back for more from the main game time and time again. That said, the interior of the research station appears more terrifying and haunting than ever before, and you might want to play this expansion with the lights on.
We can’t wait to see more from the latest expansion from Remedy Entertainment. This little teaser trailer, which clocks in at just over a minute long, doesn’t satisfy us nearly enough. We want more! We want gameplay, more story elements, and more from the world of Control! Come on, Remedy, keep it coming!
Did you finish Alan Wake 2, or is it still in your backlog? Will you pick up this expansion on day one? It seems this isn’t the only good news to come out of Remedy lately, as we recently reported that the studio, along with Annapurna, is bringing Control and Alan Wake to film and television soon. Let us know your thoughts on the expansion and more from Alan Wake 2 in the comments, or visit the Insider Gaming forums!
They’re in the same universe so not surprised Saga hopefully comes back.
