In a now since-deleted tweet, the Xbox Brazil account has revealed that Age of Empires 4 will release today on Xbox.
Insider Gaming was able to grab a screenshot of the tweet before it was removed. “Hey, look what just arrived”, the tweet translates.
We’ve known since October 2022 that Age of Empire 4 will be making its way to consoles, with the developers announcing it will be coming on day one on Xbox Game Pass. It’s possible that the tweet was deleted because it was a mistake on behalf of the account, however, we think it’s more than likely it will be announced at tonight’s Gamescom Opening Night Live. We might also add, that this isn’t the first time the Xbox Brazil Twitter handle has made such a mistake, too.
Age of Empires IV is a real-time strategy video game developed by Relic Entertainment in partnership with World’s Edge and published by Xbox Game Studios. It is the fourth installment of the Age of Empires series. The game was first launched in 2021 on the PC and received “generally favorable reviews” according to review aggregator Metacritic.
