Frontier Developments, the studio behind the popular Jurassic World Evolution series, has announced that it has reached a deal with Universal to create a new Jurassic World game. While it wasn’t confirmed that it will be a third Jurassic World Evolution title, it could be assumed that it will be based on past games.
“We are delighted to reveal that we are developing a third Jurassic World game to extend our collaborative relationship with Universal Products & Experiences for our best-selling game franchise,” Frontier CEO Jonny Watts said via release.
“Our Jurassic World Evolution game franchise has showcased great creative and technical expertise in CMS games and the strength of our select, develop, launch, and nurture strategy in the genre. I very much look forward to providing more information on our exciting plans for the franchise in the future.”
Since debuting in 2018, the Jurassic World franchise, Frontier says, has become the top revenue generator for the studio. The original Jurassic World Evolution remains the studio’s best-selling title to date since release.
The new Jurassic World game is currently planned for a fiscal year 2026 (between June 1, 2025 and May 31, 2026) release. Frontier is also working on two other games — one an unannounced own-IP and the other being a creative management simulation game — set to release in fiscal year 2025 and fiscal year 2027, respectively.
