The annual Summer Game Fest Showcase has become the show of shows: The Wrestlemania and Super Bowl of gaming! Now we know that Geoff Keighley’s announcements can sometimes be hyped, but the SGF creator is promising the biggest show to date.
Geoff Keighley built up Highguard, and yes, it was a disaster. However, we’ve had tons of amazing moments across Summer Game Fest and The Game Awards, and while the 2025 SGF edition was good, the 2026 version could be spectacular.

Keighley has taken to X to really amp up the hype for the Summer Game Fest Showcase 2026. There’s a chance that appetites will already be whetted, thanks to the Sony State of Play event on June 2—which could also be mega.
But on May 31, here’s what Geoff had to say:
‘Just 5 days until our biggest #SummerGameFest live show yet. See you live on Friday at 5p ET / 2p PT / 10p BST / 11p CEST / 6a JST.’
