Sony has just revealed all the features players can check for Saros on the PlayStation 5 and PS5 Pro.
The next big exclusive from PlayStation comes from the developers of Returnal, HouseMarque, who plan to release Saros towards the end of this month, on April 30. We have already been informed that the game has gone gold, and now the developers have details on all the immersive features they will receive for the game on the PS5 and PS5 Pro.
Saros PS5 Pro Enhanced Version Gets Updated PSSR
A new PlayStation Blog has shared information about the enhanced features for the Saros PS5 and PS5 Pro. First on the list is the updated PSSR, which delivers an even sharper image, making it nearly indistinguishable from native 4K. Additionally, the base render resolution (the resolution before upscaling) has been increased on the PS5 Pro, bringing higher resolution visuals at 60 FPS. The only time they drop to 30FPS is during key story cinematics.
Coming to the features that are shared between both PS5 and PS5 Pro, first up is Precision 3D Audio evolved, where the developers have enhanced the Tempest 3D AudioTech to provide an even more immersive experience. Then we have adaptive triggers as well, which not only have resistance for immersion, but also different operations for when the trigger is pulled halfway down and all the way down.
Saros will also receive enhanced haptics on the PS5 and PS5 Pro, with the developers teasing that “very special haptics” are waiting for players when they begin Saros. Additionally, it has evolved further from what they did in Returnal. Last but not least, immersion will remain constant thanks to the near instant load times, which allow players to “quickly return to the action after death, or escalate the gameplay, audio and visuals when you activate an eclipse, which creates a new experience.”
In other news, Housemarque currently has multiple job openings, gearing up for their next project. Additionally, we could get a State of Play showcase today.
