Metro 2039 is the fourth mainline title in the Metro series, and it is due to be revealed on April 16 in an Xbox First Look showcase. However, story details have emerged for the upcoming title, which was rumored to be following the storyline of the Metro 2034 book.

Courtesy of IGDB, a new synopsis for the game has been leaked. And what promises to be “the most shocking” title in the series yet, the synopsis teases a powerful campaign that weaves exploration, survival, combat, and stealth together.
