The handheld gaming market is starting to feel the effects of the state of the component shortage. Without an official announcement on the increase, Lenovo has raised the prices of its Legion Go 2 handheld by up to nearly 50%
Released in October 2025, the Legion Go 2 was priced at $1,099.99 for the lower-end AMD Ryzen Z2 16GB RAM model, while the more powerful Ryzen Z2 Extreme 32GB version was $1,349.99.
Now, just five months later, those interested are going to feel even lighter in the wallet. That’s if they still decide to make the purchase.
The AMD Ryzen Z2 16GB model is now $1,499.99, a 36% increase from the launch price. But that pales in comparison to the increase of the Ryzen Z2 Extreme 32GB version of the handheld. That has jumped 48% to $1,999.99.
It’s worth noting that both devices are currently listed as unavailable. They’ve been that way for a while now, and there’s been no update as to when more stock will become available.
Lenovo did not respond to Insider Gaming’s request for comment by the time of publication. Should one be received, it will be added to this story.
If you are still in the market for a gaming handheld, the ASUS ROG Xbox Ally X is still priced at $999.99, and is available now. If you are looking for a Steam Deck, the most expensive version—1TB OLED—retails still for $649.99. However, all Steam Deck devices are currently out of stock on Valve’s website.

What a fantastic time to have this hobby, eh?
Glad I was able to get one when I did. And build my pc also. Waiting for that bubble to pop.
