Jotunnslayer: Hordes of Hel DLC Brings Conan the Barbarian In Big Update

If you’ve been enjoying Jotunnslayer: Hordes of Hel since its September 2025 launch, then there’s some good news for you: You’ll soon be able to use the fearsome and ferocious Conan the Barbarian as a playable character as part of new DLC in a huge Jotunnslayer update.

Fresh off the press is word that Conan the Barbarian is not content with dominating in the Hyborian Age; the legendary fighter is trying his luck in Jotunnslayer: Hordes of Hel, fighting deities in endless loops of gameplay.

Conan the Barbarian is the standout inclusion in the upcoming Jotunnslayer: Hordes of Hel update, but it also brings with it a free co-op gameplay addition as well.

Here’s an official press release to explain more:

“In Jotunnslayer: Hordes of Hel, Conan arrives as a force of pure battlefield dominance. His combat style is defined by momentum and aggression, centered around his unique Triumph mechanic. By defeating enemies, Conan builds Triumph stacks that allow him to shrug off incoming damage, turning him into an unstoppable juggernaut. With the Born in Battle trait granting elevated critical lethality and the Ram Dash allowing him to plow through enemy ranks, Conan is a slayer without equal.”

Conan has three sub-classes, offering three completely unique ways of experiencing him, and the DLC explores his iconic home of Stygia.

Additionally, the update adds the God of Fate, which delivers a compelling ‘high-stakes risk-and-reward blessing system.’

Then there’s the free co-op mode, to wrap up an inviting package:

“Local Co-op launches as a FREE UPDATE.

Built and refined based on your playtest feedback, co-op is designed for shared chaos without slowing down the pace of combat.

Key features:

– two-player shared runs

– alternating level-up choices to keep a fast flow

– expanded build synergy across classes and gods

– adjusted active skill slots to preserve balance

– drop-in assistance – host retains progression

It’s a different tactical experience – more coordination, more combo potential, more battlefield moments.”

Insider Gaming is pleased to confirm that the Conan the Barbarian DLC and co-op update will arrive on April 9 for applicable platforms and consoles: PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S.
