Flashpoint has brought a lot of new content to ARC Raiders, but one of the highlights is undoubtedly the new Close Scrutiny Major Map Condition. It’s the first ARC Operation, which is set to be an entirely unique set of Map Conditions going forwards.
Whilst some Map Conditions can alter the environment, like the Hurricanes, it seems that these ARC Operations will revolve around unique ARC encounters, with Close Scrutiny being the first. However, with more ARC comes an especially difficult Map Condition, so it’s not for the faint of heart.
Here’s what maps you can find the new Close Scrutiny Map Condition, as well as what changes it brings to ARC Raiders.
What Maps Are ‘Close Scrutiny’ On In ARC Raiders?
Close Scrutiny is the first ARC Operation in ARC Raiders, and it’s available on four out of the five currently available maps.

A few of the maps were teased in the build-up to the Flashpoint update, with the Dam Battlegrounds Swamp the most notable location. Thankfully, it’s not just exclusive to that map, as it’ll show up on the following:
- Dam Battlegrounds
- The Blue Gate
- Spaceport
- Buried City
Considering the major aspect of Close Scrutiny is the Assessors (they’ll be explained soon), it makes sense that the Major Map Condition won’t appear on Stella Montis, considering it’s an indoor bunker. However, it is high time that Stella Montis received an interesting Map Condition, since it only has access to Night Raid.
What Changes Will The Close Scrutiny Map Condition Make In ARC Raiders?
During the Close Scrutiny ARC Operation, Assessors will spawn across the map, though they’ll be protected by Vaporizers, a terrifyingly strong ARC.
Assessors are essentially giant ARC probes that land across the map, and you can find them pretty easily thanks to the large red beam that shoots off of them and into the sky. You’ll quickly realise that they’re heavily guarded, but if you can defeat the surrounding ARC (good luck with the Vaporizers), you’ll get a chance to breach one of the three probes.

However, once you start, loud sounds will be emitted, attracting more ARC, making it practically essential to destroy the surrounding enemies first—or at least get somebody to distract them.
It’s worth the hassle, as inside these Assessors is where you can find the Blueprint for the brand-new Legendary Energy shotgun, the Dolabra. It’s going to be rare, so be ready to search plenty of Assessors, but it’s bound to be worth it for one of the new weapons.
The ARC Operation does come with its downsides, though, as the overall map is heavily nerfed. Locked Doors are disabled, and the overall loot across the map is diminished in favour of increased ARC loot. If you’re playing during Close Scrutiny, you’ll want to focus on ARC, as that’s where the best rewards are.
