In a world as large and detailed as Crimson Desert’s, you can imagine that there’s plenty to discover. New pieces of gear can be acquired through a variety of means; be it environmental puzzles or quest rewards, there are a ton of opportunities to upgrade your weaponry, but the easiest way is to find items out in the wilderness.
One such item is the Darkbringer, a two-handed sword with some elite Abyss Gear already equipped. However, it’s tucked away in the North of the map, and unless you know what to look out for, it’s easily missed.
Thankfully, Insider Gaming has it all figured out: here’s where to find the Darkbringer Sword in Crimson Desert, and why it’s worth collecting.
Where To Find The Darkbringer Sword In Crimson Desert
You’ll find the Darkbringer Sword at the White Wastes Sanctuary, all the way in the Northwest of Pailune, far up in the Silver Wolf Mountains.
Whilst it’s not necessary, it’s easier to find once you’ve rung the Bell in Pailune, as that will remove the Fog of War and show you which roads you can follow to get there. However, that doesn’t mean it’s not a tricky journey, as you’ll face plenty of high-level enemies up in the mountains.

Regardless, the sword is worth the effort, so trudge on through the snow and woods and make your way to the marker on the map above. You’ll know you’re in the right area when you find an Abyss Nexus nearby, but be warned! Do not jump down into the ravine below, as the river will kill you due to the low temperatures.
Instead, once you’re at the Abyss Nexus, look to the sky, where you’ll see a group of crows circling above. Head towards them, and you’ll soon find a crater with a giant skeleton inside.
But that’s not all, as protruding out of the skeleton is what you’ve come to look for: the legendary Darkbringer presumably fell this giant, and now it’s all yours to claim.
What Is The Darkbringer Sword In Crimson Desert?
The Darkbringer is a two-handed sword in Crimson Desert that has incredibly strong stats, as well as some powerful Abyss Gears.
You’ll find the weapon is already at Refinement Level 4, so its stats are strong as soon as you find it. It has 22 Attack Damage, as well as Critical Rate Level 3, making it incredibly strong with some simple enough Refinement material requirements that should make upgrading it a breeze.

However, the real power of the sword comes from its Abyss Gears, namely Ator’s Orb, which releases yellow orbs that strike enemies whenever you successfully perform a heavy attack or a combo. As if that wasn’t exciting enough, it has Attack Speed 1 and Critical Rate 1 equipped, too, with two more empty slots.
If you can find more powerful Abyss Gears to combo with Ator’s Orb, this sword can become a truly elite weapon that can stick with you for a long while to come.
