If you thought 1047 Games was done after Splitgate’s issues, think again. In a recent clip uploaded to social media, we see 1047’s CEO, Ian ‘Make FPS Great Again’ Proulx, talk about a new project some of the studio’s developers are working on.
In his words, it’s a movement shooter akin to Titanfall and Call of Duty: Black Ops 3. He confirmed that playtesting will start soon and stated that it’s being worked on in addition to Splitgate.
1047 Games is Back on the Grind
In a clip doing the rounds on social media, Ian Proulx, the CEO at 1047 Games, the somewhat beleaguered Splitgate developer, explained that a new project has sprung up at the studio:
Splitgate’s universe is a tumultuous one, that’s for sure. The downfall kind of started in June 2025, when Ian Proulx appeared at Summer Game Fest with an aggressive message and a ‘Make FPS Great Again’ cap, swinging a baseball bat on stage.
Shortly after launch, Splitgate 2 was pulled back to a beta state after initial impressions fumbled. It relaunched and kind of failed again, then was rebranded as Splitgate: Arena Reloaded, and still didn’t gain any traction.
The developers went on a crusade of sorts against people bagging on Splitgate’s player count, layoffs were made here and there, and things remained awry for the studio.
Now, 1047 Games has revealed that a new game is in development, this one a movement shooter that Titanfall fans will love. That’s all we have to go on, but you can guess what the comments were like under the post.
