Where To Find Sealed Abyss Artifacts & How To Open Them In Crimson Desert

Crimson Desert is an incredibly long game, and to get to the end, you’re going to need to level up Kliff and make him stronger. Whilst gear and equipment is helpful, you’ll want to level up his Skill Tree, meaning you’ll need an abundance of Abyss Artifacts.

However, one of the best sources for them is Sealed Abyss Artifacts, but they come with a twist: you’ll need to open them to get the Abyss Artifact inside. It’s not a simple process, either, and that’s assuming you even find them to begin with.

Thankfully, Insider Gaming has them all figured out. Here’s where to find Sealed Abyss Artifacts in Crimson Desert, as well as how to open them.

You’ll find Sealed Abyss Artifacts scattered throughout the land of Pywel, though they’re typically left on Shrines by roadsides.

As you explore the huge open world of Crimson Desert, keep an eye on the roads around you. At various shrines, ranging from small rock structures to large wooden shelters, you’ll often find a Sealed Abyss Artifact ready to be claimed.

You’ll know you’re near one as a small, purple symbol will appear on your mini-map. Thankfully, you can just pick it up, and when you do, you can survey it in the palm of your hand. However, it’s all well and good finding them, but you’ll want to examine these relics in your inventory to figure out how to open them.

In order to open a Sealed Abyss Artifact, you’ll have to complete the associated challenge tied to it.

Each Sealed Abyss Artifact has its own unique challenge tied to it, and these can range from killing a certain number of enemies with a specific weapon to riding your horse from one place to another under a time limit.

Once you’ve completed the challenge, head back into your inventory and examine the relic again. If you’ve been successful, it’ll be glowing, meaning you can open it and claim the Abyss Artifact for yourself.

The variety of challenges runs deep, and it definitely encourages you to play Crimson Desert in entirely new ways, especially if you’re after some more upgrades.
