PRAGMATA Being Released One Week Earlier

PRAGMATA will be released one week earlier. Capcom announced during its latest Spotlight showcase that the game is now set to launch on April 17, a week before the originally scheduled April 24.

The game will be available on Xbox Series platforms, PlayStation 5, Steam, and Nintendo Switch 2. A gameplay demo is currently available.

The game will feature different cosmetic choices for both Hugo and Diana. Some of these Cosmetics will be available as part of the Deluxe Edition for those who pre-order the game.

PRAGMATA Was Delayed Several Times

PRAGMATA was first revealed in 2020. It was originally slated for release in 2022. It was then pushed back to 2023. Now, here we are 3 years later. Recently, the game’s director stated that a major cause of the delays was due to balancing the game’s mechanics. Players play as both Hugo and Diana, and extra time was needed to balance that diversity in gameplay.

After 6 years of waiting and multiple delays, Capcom has decided to change the date one last time, but move it up for those excited to play PRAGMATA.

Capcom is currently riding the wave of Resident Evil Requiem’s success. The game is one of the best-selling titles of 2026 so far. It’s also the fastest-selling game in Resident Evil history. Also, during the Showcase, they announced that Universal Studios Japan is collaborating with the Resident Evil franchise. Learn more about that here.
