Battlefield Removes Marauder Vehicle from REDSEC Battle Royale

The Battlefield Communications team has announced an update to Battle Royale mode that will remove the Marauder vehicle.

The news came on March 3. In response to community feedback, the team has decided that the vehicle is too overpowered. The removal is said to be temporary, with the vehicle replaced by other transfer vehicles available in the mode.

The team is currently reviewing ways to adjust the vehicle and potentially bring it back in a future update.

“We have removed the Marauder vehicle from Battle Royale. We’ve seen the impact it has on the matches, with the armor and its effective turret being too impactful,” a portion of the statement read.

Community Response to This Battlefield REDSEC Change

Immediate response from players is somewhat mixed. Most agree that the vehicle was too overpowered and are happy with the change. Were suggesting ways that the vehicle could be re-added with the problems fixed. One player questions why others don’t just blow up the vehicle in matches as a response to its overpowered status.

Other players request that the Battle Royale mode be pulled altogether, with resources being allocated to the multiplayer mode.
