This year is shaping up to be one of the biggest in gaming history, so it seems only fitting that Capcom is preparing to drop Resident Evil Requiem. The ninth mainline release, AKA Resident Evil 9, could be mega, a goliath, a bona fide El Gigante!
With two narratives running in parallel, a long-awaited return to the ruins of Raccoon City, and more horrible monsters, Resident Evil Requiem could be one of the defining horror games of the generation—the hype is ACTUALLY real!
Bad reviews won’t necessarily deter the series’ millions of fans, but if you’re interested in when they’re coming out, this guide has the latest review embargo information.

News of the Requiem embargo comes from arguably the gaming industry’s biggest Resident Evil leaker—Dusk Golem. They’ve been at the forefront of many Resident Evil leaks (amongst other titles), and they’ve said:
“Review embargo for Resident Evil Requiem is on February 25th.”
Dusk Golem is seldom wrong, if ever, so unless Capcom says otherwise, it wouldn’t be wrong to bank on February 25 being spot on for the lifting of the embargo.
