Death Stranding 2 PC Will Launch With ‘New Modes and Features’ for Both Platforms

Death Stranding 2’s PC launch will introduce new game modes and features for PC and PS5.

After a long wait, the Death Stranding 2: On the Beach PC Port was finally announced with a release date at the heavily stacked State of Play event. We already knew it was coming thanks to an early ESRB rating, but the release date was the main concern. Now we know when it is launching, and also that it will come with some new goodies.

Death Stranding 2 PC Features; New Modes and Other Features Will be Announced Next Month

A new blog post by PlayStation outlines the features that PC players can expect in Death Stranding 2. The game will support NVIDIA, AMD, and Intel upscalers and Frame Generation, along with uncapped framerates.

It will also feature ultrawide monitor support, including 21:9 UltraWidescreen for gameplay and in-game cutscenes for both PC and PS5, as well as 32:9 Super UltraWidescreen exclusively for PC, all in 4K resolution.

Moreover, the game will also support the DualSense wireless controller, mouse, and keyboard for gameplay. For sound, there will be support for  3D Audio via Dolby Access, DTS Sound Unbound, or Windows Sonic for Headphones.

Towards the end of the blog post, PlayStation reveals that new modes and features are coming with Death Stranding 2’s PC launch for both PC and PS5. More details on that will be revealed in March.

Additionally, there’s an account connection bonus for PlayStation account users: use an overlay to earn PlayStation Trophies and access the Friends list, settings, and player profile. Players who connect will also receive unique in-game design patches for backpack customization and an exclusive suit inspired by the PlayStation logo.

In other news, Hideo Kojima will not be attending GDC 2026. Additionally, the game director almost created a first-person Metal Gear Solid game with Vince Zampella.
