The official MLB The Show 26 X account (formerly Twitter) revealed a few days ago that the game will “not have a new cover athlete” in the new instalment, sparking speculation among the community. However, “new” was the keyword as a reliable source, Dealabs’ billbil-kun, that the cover star from MLB The Show 18 will be returning for this year’s iteration. The report states that New York Yankees star Aaron Judge will be the cover athlete for MLB The Show 2026.

That’s not all; the report also provided us with a release date for the highly anticipated title: MLB The Show 26 launches on March 17, 2026. The game will be available on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S; a Nintendo Switch 2 port is “uncertain” at the moment.
