Best Location to Find Blood Petals in Hytale Early On
A perfect place to farm Blood Petals early on is by exploring dark forest locations in the starting zone, looking for Blood Roses, and hacking at them with a Tool like a Pickaxe.
Here’s a quick walkthrough on what to do:
- Load into your Hytale world.
- Got to Zone 1, or any deep, dark forest area (as shown above).
- Explore until you see a glowing red plant.
- If it’s called Blood Roses, you’ve found what you need.
- Hit it with a Tool, such as a Pixckaxe or Cleaver.
- Provided you’ve done this correctly, the Blood Roses should now be replaced by Blood Petals.
Contrary to popular belief, you don’t have to wander into dangerous zones and areas for Blood Petals. The player marker in the screenshot above is where Insider Gaming found a Blood Rose. This section of the forest (with this specific darker green terrain) housed several Blood Roses.
To be clear, Blood Roses are the only way to get Blood Petals. You hit them and basically sever the plant to extract Blood Petals from it.

The main use for Blood Petals is to create Healing Potions in Hytale.
Chewing on raw fish and meat will do a job, but if you want to channel the doctor in you and recover quickly, you need to craft Healing Potions. After all, it’s not good passively recovering health, while a Skeleton—or an even more dangerous foe—swiftly clobbers you into a game over screen.
