WWE 2K26 is scheduled to release in March, and Insider Gaming has learned exclusive details about the game’s showcase mode.
Showcase, if you are unfamiliar with the WWE 2K franchise, is a game mode that acts as a mini documentary, of sorts. Players are often tasked with recreating historical moments or even going down the road of “What If?”. In the past, the mode has featured the likes of Stone Cold Steve Austin, Triple H, Shawn Michaels, John Cena, Becky Lynch, Charlotte Flair, Bayley, and more.
In WWE 2K26, the showcase is centered around one wrestler who actually appeared in the very first Showcase mode back in WWE 2K15.
It’s Time To Get “Punked” In WWE 2K26’s Showcase
Insider Gaming has learned that WWE 2K26’s Showcase Mode will feature none other than CM Punk. According to sources, the showcase will be narrated by CM Punk himself and feature three sections of matches.
The first section has players relive some of Punk’s favorite matches throughout his WWE career. There are also “What If?” matches that look at what could have been had Punk not left the company in 2014. And, lastly, fantasy matches will see Punk take on opponents that he never was able to face for one reason or another.
CM Punk made his return to WWE in November 2023 after a nine-year absence. His return to WWE video games came as DLC in WWE 2K24 before being a base roster member for WWE 2K25.
What do you think of CM Punk being the centerpiece of WWE 2K26’s Showcase Mode? Leave your thoughts down below, and join the discussion in the official Insider Gaming Discord.
