The Modern Prometheus quest in Quarantine Zone: The Last Check does not appear until fairly deep into your playthrough, and there is a crucial decision that can block the quest entirely.
On Day 20, a survivor named Stuart will appear at the checkpoint and, while his behaviour breaks the rules of the camp, as he has a severed zombie head in his possession, you must allow Stuart to join your camp and not send him to be liquidated. If you do this, there’s no going back, and the Modern Prometheus quest will be blocked.
Once Stuart is inside your base, you also need to be vigilant to prevent any infected survivors from being granted entry, as they could turn and kill Stuart. Again, the quest can’t be completed without him, so make sure that doesn’t happen.
How to Get Zombie Parts & Complete Modern Prometheus in Quarantine Zone
Four body parts must be collected to progress and complete the Modern Prometheus quest in Quarantine Zone, which will appear in bags that survivors bring to the checkpoint.
It can take a few days of waiting for a survivor to first appear with bags containing severed zombie parts, though it should only take a couple. Essentially, when checking survivors at the checkpoint, you need to keep a close eye on their possessions for the four body parts Stuart.
Here’s a step-by-step overview of the completion process.
- Search the bags of survivors for any severed zombie limbs.
- On the table where possessions are displayed, walk up to the limbs and click ‘E’ to confiscate them.
- Each severed limb costs $100 to confiscate.
- After all four required limbs have been collected, speak to Stuart in the survivor camp.
- Wait until the next day for Stuart to complete his work, and make sure he is not evacuated by assigning him to the Lab or the Military.
- In the morning, an alarm will sound. Head into the survivor camp and eliminate the zombies.
- Head to Stuart’s tent, collect the $500 and severed head collectible, the latter from a black case.
