ALGS Championship 2026—Teams, Schedule, and Where to Watch

The Apex Legends Global Series Championship 2026 is almost here, and 40 of the world’s best Apex teams are readying up to win the lion’s share of the $2 million prize pool. There’s a whopping $600,000 reserved for the victor, making this one of the most valuable tournaments in the esports space.

In this guide, we’re breaking down everything you need to know about the ALGS Championship, including where it is, what teams are competing, and how you can watch it.

ALGS 2026 Schedule and Location

The Apex Legends Global Series Championship 2026 is taking place in Sapporo, Japan. It’s the site of a multi-year deal to host the top-tier battle royale tournament, in a prestigious and historic location that’s perfect for one of the most beloved tournaments in the esports space.

The ALGS Championship 2026 is set to run from January 15 to January 18, but a lot of action is packed into that tight window.

Here’s the full ALGS Champs 2026 schedule

Group Stage

From January 15 to 16, the 40 competing teams are split into ten groups and made to compete in a round-robin format. This stage will see a total of 18 games played, and based on the scores attained here, the top 20 teams will go into the winner’s bracket of the bracket stage, while the bottom 20 go into the loser’s bracket.

Bracket Stage

On January 17, all teams head to the bracket stage, starting with the top 20 teams. The top 10 teams in this bracket advance to the finals, while the bottom 10 head to the losers’ bracket.

The loser’s bracket is played next, with the top 10 teams going into the second round and the bottom 10 being eliminated from the tournament. The third round is then played, with 10 final teams going to the final and the remaining 10 being eliminated.

Finals

On January 18, the remaining 20 teams compete in a Match Point series, with the first team to hit 50 points and secure a win being crowned the victor.
