Activision Releases New Black Ops 7 Patch With Weapons Update

Activision has released another new patch for Call of Duty: Black Ops 7. This update features a number of adjustments to Black Ops 7’s multiplayer, end game, and weapons throughout.

Weapons getting updates include the Maddox RFB, M15 MOD 0, AK-27, Sturmwolf 45, XR-3 Ion and more. Elswehere, the update features changes to four maps, one perk, one equipment, and other areas.

Black Ops 7 January 13 Patch

General

  • Base Sprint to Sprint Fire Time (used with Gung Ho perk) now matches base Sprint to Fire Time for all weapons.

Assault Rifles

Maddox RFB

General Adjustments

  • Recoil increased
  • All movement speeds reduced by 0.05 m/s

Damage Adjustments

  • Maximum Damage: 28
    • Range: 0–12.7m (was 0–19.1m ↓)
  • Medium Damage: 19
    • Range: 12.8–27.9m (was 19.2–33m ↓)
  • Minimum Damage: 16
    • Range: >27.9m (was >33m ↓)

Maddox RFB – 13″ MFS Echo-Fire Barrel

Damage Adjustments

  • Maximum Damage: 23
    • Range: 0–20.3m (was 0–22.9m ↓)
  • Medium Damage: 19
    • Range: 20.3–34.3m (was 30–36.8m ↓)
  • Minimum Damage: 16
    • Range: >34.3m

Additional Adjustments

  • Recoil increased

M15 MOD 0

Damage Adjustments

  • Maximum Damage: 21
    • Range: 0–30.5m (was 0–38.1m ↓)
  • Medium Damage: 18
    • Range: 30.5–46.4m (was 38.2–46.4m ↓)
  • Minimum Damage: 17
    • Range: >46.4m

Additional Adjustments

  • Slide-to-Fire increased: 420ms → 430ms
  • Hip Spread increased by 0.1°
  • All movement speeds reduced by 0.05 m/s

16″ Reticulated Barrel

  • Headshot multiplier increased: 1.55x → 1.6x

AK-27 (Battle-Scar Conversion)

Conversion Adjustments

  • Fire Rate penalty reduced: 100% → 70%
  • Movement penalties removed
  • ADS penalty reduced: 60ms → 30ms
  • Sprint-to-Fire penalty reduced: 60ms → 30ms
  • Fixed Comb attachment persistence issue

X9 Maverick

14.6″ MFS Pulse Load+ Barrel

  • Damage Range penalty reduced: 25% → 13%
  • ADS improvement increased: 20ms → 30ms
  • Sprint-to-Fire improvement increased: 15ms → 25ms
  • Movement Speed bonus increased by 0.03 m/s

DS20 Mirage

Damage Adjustments

  • Maximum Damage: 27
    • Range: 0–22.9m (was 0–20.3m ↑)
  • Medium Damage: 23
    • Range: 23–44.5m
  • Minimum Damage: 22
    • Range: >44.5m

Mirage Tandem Launcher Adjustments

  • Burst delay improved: 350ms → 300ms
  • Swap time improved: 550ms → 420ms

Submachine Guns (SMGs)

Sturmwolf 45

Damage Adjustments

  • Maximum Damage: 30 (was 29 ↑)
  • Other damage ranges unchanged

Additional Adjustments

  • Headshot multiplier increased: 1.2x → 1.26x

  • Headshot multiplier increased: 1.25x → 1.35x
  • Vertical recoil penalty reduced: 45% → 30%
  • Horizontal recoil penalty reduced: 20% → 15%

Sturmwolf 45 – MFS Tigris .40 Cal Mag

Damage Adjustments

  • Medium Damage Range 2: 23 (was 22 ↑)

Additional Adjustments

  • Headshot multiplier increased: 1.2x → 1.26x
  • Vertical recoil penalty reduced: 80% → 65%
  • Horizontal recoil penalty reduced: 40% → 30%
  • Recoil deviation penalty reduced: 50% → 35%

Kogot-7

Damage Adjustments

  • Minimum damage reduced: 14 → 13

Ryden 45K

General Adjustments

  • Reduced gun kick and view kick harshness

Razor 9mm

12″ MFS Sidewinder Barrel

  • Horizontal & vertical recoil improvement increased: 10% → 25%
  • Recoil stabilization increased: 15% → 25%
  • ADS penalty increased: 15ms → 20ms
  • Sprint-to-Fire penalty increased: 15ms → 20ms

Dravec 45

Damage Adjustments

  • All damage ranges reduced across the board

  • ADS time increased: 230ms → 235ms

  • Maximum Damage: 23 (was 22 ↑)
  • Medium Damage 1: 19 (was 18 ↑)

Handling Adjustments

  • ADS: 240ms → 245ms
  • Sprint-to-Fire: 170ms → 180ms
  • Tactical Sprint-to-Fire: 290ms → 300ms
  • Slide-to-Fire: 360ms → 380ms
  • Dive-to-Fire: 440ms → 460ms
  • Fixed iron sight ADS alignment

MPC-25

General Adjustments

  • Reduced random gun kick and view kick deviation

Kühn Ported Comp

  • Sprint Fire Hip Spread bonus reduced: 25% → 15%

8.6″ MFS Stratus-X Barrel

  • Range increased across all damage tiers

    • Closed an exploit where Bankroll could grant all Perks when using the Specialist Wildcard. (Added Jan. 9)

Equipment  

  • Stim Shot
    • Addressed an issue preventing XP Progression on the Stim Shot Overclock. Stim Shot will now also gain progress when healing at least 10HP.

Audio 

  • Reduced the frequency of Announcer voice lines in The Ghouls.

Stability 

  • Addressed stability issues when using the Rhino Scorestreak. (Added Jan. 9)
  • Added various stability fixes.

Zombies

UI 

  • Addressed an issue where the After Action Report could show an Armory unlock for the NX Ravager after the player had already unlocked it.

Endgame

Gameplay

  • Addressed an issue where party members could be pulled out of the Endgame cinematic early and lose their loadout after defeating Faulkner when in a party.
  • Addressed an issue where calling in a Rhino or Power Armor while holding a melee weapon would cause the player to lose their Exotic weapon and melee weapon rarity.
  • Addressed an issue where Supply Crates could be opened more than once.
