How to Invite Friends in Hytale
Inviting friends to join your game in Hytale is done by opening the Online Play settings found in the pause menu when loaded into your world.
Inviting friends allows players to join and play while you are online, but they cannot access the game if you are not playing, similarly to Minecraft. Additionally, the settings you need to share with players to invite them to join your world in Hytale include some senstitive information, like your IP address, so you should only share the code with people you trust.
To invite friends to your game in Hytale, follow these steps:
- Open the menu by pressing the ESC button.
- Select the ‘Online Play’ option from the menu.
- Toggle the ‘Allow Other Players to Join’ option to ‘On.’
- Choose a password for the world if you want to lock access.
- Toggle the option to include the password in the Share Code to On, if wanted.
- Hit the ‘Save’ button to create a Share Code.
- Select the ‘Copy to Clipboard’ button.
- Share the code with friends to invite them into your game.
How to Join Servers in Hytale
Joining servers in Hytale allows you to access the game even if a host player is not online, as long as the server remains active.
Rather than being accessible when the host owner is playing the game, like inviting a friend to your world, servers remain permanently active, allowing players to drop in and out as they desire. However, operating a server can be costly, and creating one can be challenging if you don’t know what you are doing.
Fortunately, there are a host of server providers available, and there will be no shortage of servers to join in Hytale.
Follow the steps below to join servers in Hytale.
- Open the Hytale launcher and load into the game, ensuring you have signed into your account.
- In the Main Menu, click the ‘Servers’ option.
- If you have been sent a code, select the ‘Join Via Code’ option and input the code you received.
- Alternatively, select the ‘Direct Connect’ option and enter the Connection Address.
- When inputted correctly, you can now launch into the server world at any point.
